Lattice Expands Secure Control FPGA Leadership with New Lattice Mach-N2 Family

17 Sep 2026
HILLSBORO, Ore.

Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC), the low power programmable and platform firmware leader, today announced Lattice Mach™-N2 FPGA family, extending its long-running secure control FPGA leadership with new devices purpose-built for system control and security in modern infrastructure. Built on the Lattice Nexus™ 2 small FPGA platform, Mach-N2 combines integrated flash, a hardware Root of Trust, and CNSA 2.0-compliant post-quantum cryptography (PQC) with crypto agility for trusted, always-on system control and security across next-generation systems.

"The demands on system control and security are accelerating as post-quantum mandates take hold, and customers building long-lifecycle infrastructure seek solutions that will help them design with today and tomorrow’s security needs in mind," said Esam Elashmawi, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, Lattice Semiconductor. "Mach-N2 represents a significant step forward in logic density and bandwidth while adding the most complete post-quantum security suite in its class for long-lifecycle systems."

Lattice Mach-N2 equips customers with:

  • System control and performance
    • Up to 2X greater logic density for advanced system control functions
    • Enhanced SERDES bandwidth for direct connectivity to modern System on Chips (SoC) and processors
    • Low latency, deterministic response for real-time system monitoring
    • Power sequencing and system management support for Compute, Communications, and Industrial infrastructure
  • Advanced security and crypto agility
    • CNSA 2.0-compliant PQC: ML-DSA, LMS, and XMSS for authentication; ML-KEM for key exchange
    • Crypto agility with field-updatable algorithms and anti-rollback protection
    • PUF-derived device identity with DICE and SPDM attestation for platform and supply chain integrity
    • Best-in-class classical cryptography: AES-256-GCM, ECC 521-bit, and RSA 4096-bit APIs accessible at runtime
    • Advanced anti-tamper monitoring with user-configurable responses
  • Integrated flash and instant-on configuration
    • On-chip non-volatile flash increases security by blocking external access to the configuration bitstream and User Flash Memory (UFM)
    • Fastest-in-class instant-on configuration: a 220k system logic cell device fully configures in under 30 milliseconds minimizing system risks during power up and power down
    • Up to three stored configuration images — primary, secondary, and golden — for flexible implementation and reliable fault recovery
  • High-speed connectivity
    • PCIe® 4.0 and 10G Ethernet
    • Up to 16 Gbps SERDES

The new Lattice Mach-N2 devices are available for order today and samples have already shipped to industry-leading Compute and Communications customers. All new devices are supported by the latest release of Lattice Radiant® design software and the newly released Lattice Prompt™ AI design tool.
