توعدت القوات المسلحة الإيرانية السبت الولايات المتحدة برد أقوى في حال واصلت استهداف سفن الجمهورية الإسلامية ومحاصرة موانئها، وذلك بعد إعلان الجيش الأميركي ضرب ثلاث ناقلات نفط قال إنها تابعة للحرس الثوري.
وقال المتحدث باسم مقر خاتم الأنبياء، غرفة العمليات المركزية للقوات المسلحة الإيرانية، "لقد أُنذِر الجيش الإرهابي الأميركي بأنه في حال تواصلت الإجراءات الشريرة وانعدام الأمن ومضايقة السفن الإيرانية والحصار البحري على إيران، فضربات القوات المسلحة للجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية ضد السفن العسكرية الأميركية في المنطقة ستصبح أقوى من ذي قبل، ومن المحتمل أن تتوسع".
