كشف الكرملين السبت، أن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين أجرى محادثات "صريحة للغاية" مع مبعوثين أميركيين بشأن وقف الحرب في أوكرانيا، حيث طرح الجانب الأميركي أفكارا عدة لإنهاء النزاع.
وقال يوري أوشاكوف، مساعد الرئيس الروسي، للصحافيين، بما في ذلك وكالة فرانس برس، إن "المبعوثين الأميركيين أعدا لهذه الزيارة بشكل واف". أضاف "لم يعربا فقط عن اهتمامهما التقليدي بإنهاء الأعمال العدائية بسرعة، بل عرضا أيضا عددا من الأفكار حول السبل المحتملة للتوصل إلى تسوية".
