Bei der Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt hat am Sonntagvormittag der Spitzenkandidat der CDU, Ministerpräsident Sven Schulze, seine Stimme abgegeben. Schulze wählte in seinem Wohnort Magdeburg zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Kati. Die CDU kämpft in Sachsen-Anhalt darum, weiterregieren zu können. In den Umfragen lag allerdings die als gesichert rechtsextremistisch eingestufte AfD vorn.
Erste Prognosen werden mit der Schließung der Wahllokale um 18.00 Uhr erwartet. Die Abstimmung in Sachsen-Anhalt könnte Signalwirkung für die Wahlen in Berlin und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in zwei Wochen und auch für die Bundespolitik haben.
