أكد متحدث باسم الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) لوكالة فرانس برس السبت أن جاني إنفانتينو، رئيس فيفا منذ عام 2016، مرشح لإعادة انتخابه عام 2027، رغم الأزمة التي أثارها إعلانه مشروعا أُجهض لفتح الباب أمام مستثمرين من القطاع الخاص.
وقال المتحدث "كان رئيس فيفا قد أعلن في نيسان/أبريل أنه سيترشح لإعادة انتخابه في عام 2027. وبالطبع، لم يتغير أي شيء. السيد إنفانتينو سيترشح لإعادة انتخابه".
