Bei der Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt zeichnet sich eine sehr hohe Wahlbeteiligung ab. Um 16.00 Uhr am Sonntag lag sie bei 65,3 Prozent, wie die Landeswahlleiterin in Magdeburg mitteilte. Das war deutlich höher als bei der letzten Landtagswahl am 6. Juni 2021, als um 16.00 Uhr erst 41 Prozent der Wahlberechtigten ihre Stimme abgegeben hatten.
Die Zahl beruht auf stichprobenartigen Rückmeldungen aus den repräsentativen Urnenwahlbezirken, wie die Landeswahlleiterin erklärte. Die Briefwahl ist noch nicht eingerechnet.
Erste Prognosen werden mit der Schließung der Wahllokale um 18.00 Uhr erwartet. Die Abstimmung in Sachsen-Anhalt könnte Signalwirkung für die Wahlen in Berlin und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in zwei Wochen und auch für die Bundespolitik haben.
