Mort à 89 ans de Tung Chee-hwa, le premier dirigeant de Hong Kong après sa restitution à la Chine
Le premier dirigeant de Hong Kong après la restitution de cette colonie britannique à la Chine en 1997, Tung Chee-hwa, est mort à l'âge de 89 ans, a annoncé son bureau mercredi.
L'ancien chef de l'exécutif "s'est éteint paisiblement en présence des membres de sa famille bien-aimée" mardi, selon un communiqué.
"M. Tung a consacré sa vie, avec un engagement indéfectible, à être au service de la Nation et de la RAS (Région administrative spéciale, ndlr) de Hong Kong. Ses contributions, marquées par l'intégrité, la compassion et la dignité, resteront dans les mémoires", a encore dit son bureau.
