دمّرت القوات الأميركية خمس ناقلات نفط إيرانية الثلاثاء بعدما أطلقت طهران صواريخ بالستية على سفينة حربية أميركية مرتين في اليومين الماصيين، وفق الجيش الأميركي.
وذكرت القيادة المركزية الأميركية (سنتكوم) أنها "دمرت خمس ناقلات نفط خام إيرانية في 8 سبتمبر/ايلول، وذلك بعد أن استهدف الحرس الثوري الإيراني سفينة حربية تابعة للبحرية الأمريكية بصواريخ باليستية مرتين خلال اليومين الماضيين. نجحت السفينة الحربية الأمريكية في تفادي محاولات الهجوم الإيرانية وواصلت دورياتها في المياه الإقليمية، دون وقوع أي إصابات في صفوف الأفراد الأمريكيين".
