Le jeune et prometteur attaquant égyptien Hamza Abdelkarim a prolongé son contrat avec le FC Barcelone jusqu'en juin 2030, a annoncé vendredi le club catalan.
Prêté par Al Ahly, son club formateur, l'attaquant international de 18 ans, qui a disputé le Mondial-2026 avec les Pharaons, est arrivé en février au Barça, où il a joué dans l'équipe de jeunes, inscrivant six buts en onze rencontres. Le club blaugrana avait levé en juin son option d'achat.
Abdelkarim a été son meilleur buteur de la pré-saison avec quatre buts en cinq rencontres.
La signature de la prolongation jusqu'en juin 2030 aura lieu mardi en présence du président barcelonais Joan Laporta, a précisé le club.
L'attaquant a fait ses premiers officiels sous le maillot du champion sortant et actuel leader de Liga le 31 août contre le Rayo Vallecano lors de la 3e journée de championnat (victoire 5-2).
