قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب السبت إن الحوثيين المدعومين من إيران طلبوا من الولايات المتحدة عدم التدخل في النزاع في اليمن، حيث سيطروا الجمعة على منطقة مضيق باب المندب، بعد تقدمهم على حساب القوات الحكومية المدعومة من السعودية.
وقال ترامب خلال زيارة لإيرلندا "لقد أجرينا نقاشات. اتصل بنا الحوثيون، وهم لا يريدون قتالنا" مضيفا "لا يريدوننا أن نهاجمهم".
