أعلن مقاتلون حوثيون في اليمن الأحد، استهداف قاعدة عسكرية على الأراضي السعودية بطائرات مسيرة وصواريخ بالستية، مشيرين أن العملية جاءت ردا على الهجمات السعودية.
وكتب المتحدث العسكري باسم الحوثيين، يحيى سريع، على منصة اكس أن الهجوم على القاعدة في منطقة شرورة السعودية استهدف "مخازن الأسلحة وغرف القيادة والسيطرة التى تدير العدوان على بلدنا وشعبنا". ولم يحدد المتحدث موعد تنفيذ العملية العسكرية، لكنها وصفها بأنها "نوعية".
