أكد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي الثلاثاء دعم بلاده للإجراءات التي تتخذها السعودية لحماية أمنها، وذلك أثناء استقباله ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان في القاهرة فيما تتصاعد هجمات الحوثيين على المملكة.
وأوردت الرئاسة المصرية في بيان أن السيسي شدد على "دعم مصر للإجراءات التي تتخذها المملكة لحماية أمنها واستقرارها" كما أكد الزعيمان حرصهما على "ضمان حرية وأمن الملاحة في مضيقي هرمز وباب المندب"، بعد سيطرة المتمردين الحوثيين على مناطق يمنية مطلة على مضيق باب المندب.
