La coalition militaire menée par l'Arabie saoudite a affirmé mercredi avoir détruit un drone lancé par les rebelles pro-iraniens Houthis du Yémen vers la ville sainte de La Mecque.
"Le mardi 15 septembre 2026, les Forces royales saoudiennes de défense aérienne ont réussi à intercepter et à détruire un drone hostile lancé par la milice terroriste houthie avant qu'il n'entre dans l'espace aérien interdit de la sainte capitale", a écrit la coalition dans un communiqué. "Le drone a été intercepté au sud de la ville de La Mecque", a-t-elle précisé.
