أعلن الحوثيون الأربعاء أنهم استهدفوا منشآت تابعة لشركة أرامكو في مدينة ينبع السعودية وقاعدة جوية في خميس مشيط بجنوب المملكة، قائلين إنها ردا على غارات طالت اليمن ونسبوها للرياض.
وقال المتحدث العسكري باسم الحوثيين المدعومين من إيران يحيى سريع إنهم نفذوا "عمليتين عسكريتين نوعيتين الأولى استهدفت شركة أرامكو في ينبع بعشرات الصواريخ الباليستية والطائرات المسيَّرة (...) وتسبَّبت في حرائق كبيرة ودمار واسع". وأضاف أن "الأخرى استهدفت قاعدة خميس مشيط الجوية بعدد من الصواريخ الباليستية".
