Donald Trump a menacé mercredi de rompre les échanges commerciaux avec l'Union européenne en réaction à son projet de faire du Canada le premier pays membre associé de l'UE.
"Je trouve cela ridicule", a déclaré le président américain aux journalistes lorsqu'il a été interrogé sur la proposition de la présidente de la Commission européenne, Ursula von der Leyen. "S'ils font cela, si j'estime qu'il s'agit d'un acte hostile, j'imposerai des droits de douane très lourds ou je cesserai tout commerce avec l'Europe."
