La inflación en los 21 países de la eurozona se situó en 3,2% en agosto, una décima por debajo de lo estimado inicialmente, afirmó la agencia de estadística europea Eurostat este jueves.
La cifra aumenta respecto al 2,9% registrado en julio y se sitúa claramente por encima del objetivo del 2% fijado por el Banco Central Europeo (BCE).
Esta institución monetaria subió los tipos de interés la semana pasada por segunda vez este año para intentar contener esta inflación impulsada por la guerra en Oriente Medio.
